Mute's Official Response to the Seventh Tree Leak

Out of respect, I have unpublished my write up based on the leak that surfaced on many emails yesterday. I do hope that site that had the file has done the same. Unfortunately, a search engine's caching system has not purged the blog. I have no control over the caching of any search engine. Just my blog.

Here's Mute's official response:

Mute response to illegal downloads of Goldfrapp

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We really appreciate people’s enthusiasm for the new album but we would hope that Goldfrapp fans will resist their obvious temptation to download or fileshare Seventh Tree and will respect the band’s wishes and wait for the official unveiling of the album.

Alison and Will have put their heart and soul into creating Seventh Tree (and everything that will accompany it over the coming months), so it's hugely disappointing to find that someone has selfishly (and illegally) put unofficial versions of their songs online so far ahead of release.

Once again please respect Goldfrapp and do what you can to prevent this spreading further.
