Carnivalesque Launches DVD Label
Like something out of a Busby Berkeley/Mickey Rooney film, those wacky kids David Redmon and Ashley Sabin (Kamp Katrina, Intimidad) from Carnivalesque Films have launched a new DVD distribution label out of their new home base (and home of True/False Film Festival) Columbia, MO. Opinionated fucker, ain't I?
Nyman, Greenwood and Others Collaborate on BritDoc Shorts
Over at Still in Motion, Pamela has a little note about some of the goings on at the upcoming BritDoc, specifically collaborations between some short-form filmmakers and a few super accomplished composers, including Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood (There Will Be Blood) and Michael Nyman (The Piano, The Cook The Thief His Wife & Her Lover). The latter's one of my Facebook friends just cuz I sent him a gushing fan note about his Wonderland score. I'm a geek.
