BOSTON HERALD | To candidates, 'FLOHPA' is the state of uncertainty
The Boston Herald on the race in three key states:
It's now become known simply as "Flohpa'' - three states the Bush and Kerry campaigns believe will decide the election, condensed to one name.
Florida, Ohio and Pennsyslvania - together hold a quarter of the electoral votes needed to win the presidency and, among them, the largest margin in polls is but 3 points. As other states settle for one of the candidates, "Flohpa'' forms the crux of what is now an 8-state battleground to decide the race - regardless of efforts to expand the race into a 15-state battleground.
