Have You Seen This Man?

1206armored06.jpgSadly, about two weeks ago my aunt's grandson was shot and killed while on the job as an armored car guard in Arizona. While I had not seen Robert Keith Palomares in many years, his murder is a tragic story of someone clearly being in the wrong place at the absolutely wrong moment, with the tragedy leaving a family in mourning.

According to Friday's edition of The Arizona Republic, a suspect is now being sought (a photo is attached at right):

"A suspect wanted in last week's robbery and murder of an armored-car guard in Ahwatukee Foothills has been spotted in Southern California, authorities say.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said Jason Derek Brown, 35, was seen in Orange County after the Nov. 29 shooting. She declined to reveal further details.

Brown is suspected of ambushing 24-year-old Robert Keith Palomares as he left the AMC Ahwatukee 24 theaters near 48th Street and Ray Road with a hefty moneybag after the lucrative Thanksgiving weekend.

Police say their suspect shot Palomares in the head multiple times before grabbing the bag and fleeing on a bicycle. Investigators linked Brown to the crime after finding evidence on a bike that was discarded near the theater."

That is really sad, and horrible. What a heinous crime.

I had the unfortunate experience of going to school (elementary through HS) with this guy. He was always a narcicistic spoiled rich kid with a napoleonic complex. Maybe he couldn't really afford the affluent lifestyle in which he had been raised and that he was currently living. I hope that he is quicly located by the authorities and brought to justice.

Jami, are you really his sister? I heard that he Jason, bought a gun and took a firearms class in Utah just before the Crime he is alleged to have committed.

I was in jail for five days in Phoenix with this guy. He lied about everything from what he did for a living to how old he was. He told me he was a computer network administrator for Waste Management in Phoenix. Turns out, he didn't even live here. I know he got a prison tattoo while in tent-city that week. He got an outline of the Batman symbol on either his right or left shoulder-blade. I hung out with him for about four days. He was a nice guy it seemed, but had an arrogant way about him. Freaked me out when I found out he was involved in this. If he is guilty, he needs to die for this heinous crime.

"Innocent until proven guilty" not Guilty until sentenced.Sounds likes Jason has allready been convicted on nothing more than a bicycle which was stolen from him weeks before this horrible event.Check the facts America!!Good for you Jami-stay strong.

So.......Gabe. Seems you need to get your facts straight before you go mouthing off. I spent time with him during his last days and I know for a fact he did not have ANY tatoos! Besides he didn't even like Batman, he liked Robin. By the way, seems like you have your own problems. So, I would not go around worrying about Jason's.

So, Jami are you going to respond to my query regarding the gun and Utah?

I have been so busy lately with school that I just heard about this a week and a half ago. I dated Jason Brown about 4 years ago, and had remained friends with him until about a year ago. So, when I was his picture on AMW I was floored. I am still in shock! But I would like to tell you about the man I know. Jason is a very funny and energetic guy. He has an amazing smile that can light up any room! Jason was always kind and gentle. He was never once violent towards me or any of his other friends (that I can recall). People always loved to be around Jason because he has such a magnetic personality. Yes, Jason does love to party, and he is definitely a ladies man. But, there is a lot more to Jason then many people know. I'm not saying that Jason didn't commit this crime; but you have to realize that "even the best of people can do the worst of things under the right circumstances." It is hard for me to conceive that Jason was capable of doing such a thing, in the right state of mind. If he is guilty of this "heinous" crime then he will have to answer to a much higher power. I know many of you don't know Jason but he is just like the rest of us, HUMAN. We have all made mistakes in our lives, some bigger than other. So I go back to the old saying, "he without sin cast the first stone."
Jami, I commend you for sticking up for your brother. I'm sure that it is very hard not knowing what happened. I do know Jason loves you very much. He has spoken fondly of you several times. I pray that comfort will be with you and your family in this time of need.
My heart goes out to the Palomres family. I pray that the man who is responsibly for this murder will be brought to justice.

I apologize for the typo's in my post. It was very late when I typed it. Thanks.

Jami,
If you're truly concerned about your brother you might want to encourage him to turn himself in to the FBI. True, it is possible that he is innocent of this heinous crime, but he will be convicted of a serious felony: Unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. This, in itself, will result in jail time if he does not come forward on his own. Furthermore, it will be much more difficult to convince a jury of his innocence if law enforcement is forced to apprehend him.
I don't remember his sister Jami, but I do remember Julie.

Jami -- yer an idiot. I spent 5 days in there because I got in an argument with my ex-wife (no violence). Your brother DID get a tattoo -- I saw it -- and he is in a world of shit right now -- fucked for life. Get with the program, and let's get this SCUMBAG off of the streets -- even if he is your brother.
