The Calm Before the Cannes

The Festival de Cannes kicks off tomorrow, Brian and I from indieWIRE are heading across the pond this evening, hoping to check-in at the Cannes HQ by about noon tomorrow local time, no doubt jet-lagged and hungry.

While this year's festival lacks the sort of films that are of major personal interest, like last year's "Bad Education", "2046" and "Fahrenheit 9/11", there are still a number of movie I am anticipating, especially the latest from Lars von Trier. And of course, I'll be at "Star Wars" on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m.

The best place to get the latest from indieWIRE is our special Cannes section, or just bookmark our new Cannes blog, which will be updated many times each day for the next two weeks or so.
