After a busy Festival de Cannes, amigos Brian & Sharon and I took a few sidetrips. The first was a quick jaunt to neraby St. Paul de Vence, a charming but touristy village atop a hill. After walking around a bit and sitting for a bit in the town square, at dusk we jumped into our rented Renault and drove along the A8 to Antibes, for dinner at now favorite local restaurant La Taverne du Safranier (moules, pastas, and fish dishes highly recommended, at 1, Place du Safranier).
