Apparently some 8,000 people saw "King Kong" last night at the New York premiere that took over every single screen at both the AMC Empire and the Loews E Walk on 42nd St. last night. I chatted with 3 attendees over dinner after the screening and all three raved about the movie. Mind you, these were indie film people. According to the trio the film is amazing, bigger than "Titanic" and a shoo-in for Oscars. I am still skeptical, 3 hours of "King Kong"? But I'll give it a look...
