They're not dead!! I caught one of the last previews of "Kiki and Herb": Alive On Broadway" (the show opens tonight for one month only) the other day. How fitting and fun that they duo open the show with one of the big "songs of the summer" (you know the one...the title suits Ms. Kiki so well...).

Anway, we learn more than we ever might have imagined about Kiki DuRane, and her trusty sidekick Herb (played of course by Justin Bond and Kenny Mellman), during the outrageous and outspoken 2 hour and 20 minute show. Meanwhile, Choire Sicha offers a detailed look inside their new show in a recent NY Observer piece:

“We want to be in a venue where tourists from Jersey can go see this thing. And half of them will like it,” Mr. Mellman said. “And the other half will be appalled at the politics. I consider our show very political. It’s nice,” he said, “that we have a place to stand there and rant.”
