I wasn't a fan of the bland film when I saw it at the Toronto fest last year, but I am quoting Manohla's lines here because I am continually grappling with the state of "American Independent Film" today and I was struck by her worthwhile attempt to get at what's wrong with some of the movies that the Indiewood companies are spending millions on.
