July 7th, 2007 was a big day for weddings around the country as couples coveted a 07.07.07 marriage date. For two friends in L.A. the date also had special significance, marking the annual Asian Tanabata celebration (Wikipedia link). In the words of friends Lori and Shuji (pictured here on Saturday evening in Los Angeles shortly after exchanging wedding vows at the L.A. County Natural History Museum), "for Japanese, it is a romantic day of both love and harmony."
