"You're all going to HELL!" screamed Bill Maher (left) at Monday's Peggy Siegal lunch for the Lions Gate release of the Larry Charles (seated, right) film, "Religulous." Maher's film will no doubt play to his base. Hardly an objective exploration of religion, it's more a travelogue of his journey to counter (and poke fun at) fanatics.

Maher and Charles were warmly greeted by a mix of boldfaced names, from Kathleen Turner and Caroline Rhea to Nora Ephron and Janeane Garofalo. The eclectic mix offered a rather uproarious lunchtime conversation. A highlight for me, beyond sitting with Kathleen Turner, was chatting with Joy Behar, who said she was convinced we'd met before and added that I looked like someone from the neighborhood she grew up in. Ah, NYC...
