sneak peek: ready for “cold weather”

Am still two weeks away from Sundance, but already looking ahead to SXSW in March…

Among the movies I’m anxious to check out - so far - is Aaron Katz’s latest feature, “Cold Weather”. I was a big fan of Katz’ “Quiet City” and “Dance Party, USA,” both of which debuted at SXSW. His latest, among the first fest titles announced today, is described as the story of, “a former forensic science major and avid reader of detective fiction, who, after making a mess of his life in Chicago, returns to his hometown of Portland, Oregon. There, he, his sister Gail, and new friend Carlos become embroiled in something unexpected.”

After a recent stint in Brooklyn, Katz is moving to Pittsburgh soon. A still from “Cold Weather” is above and today he also sent me a link to a preview, which is available on the film’s website.
