TUESDAY. Chuck Mead & His Grassy Knoll Boys at BMI’s annual “Howdy Texas” bash at Stubb’s. BBQ & bands.

TUESDAY. The Decemberists at IFC’s annual Crossroads concert. Playing this year with Gomez.

WEDNESDAY. Waiting for the man: Favorite Basque performers, “We Are Standard” were not held back by lead singer Deu Chacartegui’s apparent ankle injury.

WEDNESDAY. Belting out showtunes: Michael Lerman and friends, on the gameboy, at the jammed Datapop show inside a former Salvation Army.

WEDNESDAY. One of the best sets of the week, School of Seven Bells. So good.

THURSDAY. What a night (morning): Jane’s Addiction’s incredible “surprise” set at the annual C3/Playboy bash.

FRIDAY. Hair!  Former Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins leads “Hot Leg” at the annual Friday afternoon SPIN bash at Stubb’s.

FRIDAY. From Atlanta, Black Lips.
