Trying out HD video on my new Lumix digital camera, here's about a minute of Minnie Driver performing at the "Motherhood" party at Sundance last night. I stood next to Jodie Foster for a good bit of the performance. While those of us in our corner of the room enjoyed the performance, others were chatting loudly, as Sundance guests often do for musical performances. Trying to shush the crowd at one point, Driver told the audience, "If you want to make your film deals on the back of your InStyle napkins, then piss off into the back!"

Eug, did you talk to Jodie Foster about the Jack Benny award of '91? ;)

yeah, its from my Lumix FX-500. really happy with the camera, i just downloaded the clip and uploaded directly to YouTube, no compression of changes/enhancement... am impressed with the resolution...

If this is from a still camera, that's pretty good quality footage. Of course it maybe possible to compress it at different rates to get better image quality on playback through DVD, an HD screen, etc. But, as web video from a digital still camera goes, very good - looks better than some web video from 3 CCD MiniDV cameras.
