the best of sundance?

Among the key attendees at the Sundance Film Festival each year are industry insiders, buyer, sellers, festival programmers, as well as journalists and critics. This year we decided to poll a group of 50 writers and reviewers about their favorite movies of the festival and we published the results last night.

As for my favorites, I don't mind revealing my personal ballot (I watched about 20 features and have a lot more that I will see)...

Best Narrative Feature: "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" Best Doc Feature: "American Blackout" Best Director: Dito Montiel, "A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints" Best Actor: Ryan Gosling, "Half Nelson" Best Actress: Shareeka Epps, "Half Nelson" Best Screenplay: "Wristcutters: A Love Story" Running a close second in just about every category was "Quinceanera", which was a supremely deserving audience and jury prize winner (and I also loved "The Science of Sleep"). Also worth singling out is the exceptional "Iraq In Fragments".
