The 2004 Montreal World Film Festival announced that it will open with "Elles étaient cinq" (They Were Five), directed by Ghyslaine Côté. It will be the world premiere of Côté's sophomore film, a psychological drama. The Montreal World Film Festival's 28th edition runs August 26 to September 6.
