A pioneering comedy poking fun at Jewish life in Germany won 10 nominations on Monday for the country's annual film awards in July, outshining "Downfall" the celebrated film about Hitler's final days. "Alles auf Zucker" (Go for Zucker: An Unorthodox Comedy), the first German-Jewish comedy since World War II, picked up nominations for best film, best director, best actor, best actress and six others in 16 categories for the "Lola" awards.
