Don Argott's film "Rock School," which opens this weekend, will seem like a familiar premise to those who've seen Richard Linklater's comedy "School of Rock" starring Jack Black, except that Argott's film is a documentary covering a real life rock school where 9 to 17 year olds learn to rock out under the often tempermental tutelage of instructor Paul Green. Melissa Levine reviews the film for San Francisco Weekly.
