Picturehouse hosted a screening and party for the New York theatrical premiere of Don Argott's documentary, "Rock School" Wednesday night in the East Village. The doc centers on Paul Green, who runs a rock-n-roll school for kids between child-age and 17 (or thereabouts). Anyone who's ever sung in the shower imagining themselves as a rock star should see this movie! The kid with a red mohawk pictured here is the poster-child for the movie. He appeared on stage with Marky Ramone -- Yes, of the Ramones -- sporting his T-shirt that says, "My Other Ride is Your Mother." We laughed hysterically over that one. Marky Ramone played Ramones favorite, "I Want to be Sedated" with students of Paul Green's School of Rock at the after-party at CBGBs.

Don Argott's subject, Paul Green at the Lowes Theater in the East Village still seated with his wife Lisa following the screening of "Rock School." Actor Kevin Bacon came over afterward to greet and congratulate Green after the credits rolled, while one woman seated in front said, "You sure aren't P.C." His response, "Thank God."

Outside the world famous CBGB prior to the after-party for "Rock School," with the film's poster out front. Despite all the T-shirt sales and notoriety, CBGB is apparently going to close, and take all the rock history with it. We're talking the Sex Pistols, Ramones, B 52s... Tons of great bands that have played there. Isn't there some hugely rich rock star out there who will save it? Anyway, the party was a blast, and all of the kids from Green's School of Rock were amazing. C.J. was a particularly amazing guitarist, and he has great hair -- it has grown a lot since the movie.
