The New York based team is: Rob Schwartz, who will serve as Chief Operating Officer and previously was at Newmarket Films as Senior Vice President, Marketing and Distribution, where he worked with Berney for over a decade, playing an important role in setting up the company that would release "Whale Rider" "Monster," and "The Passion of the Christ"; Senior Vice President/Co-General Sales Manager Bill Thompson, who was also at Newmarket where he was Vice President, General Sales Manager after holding executive positions at USA Film, Gramercy Pictures and Miramax Films; John Lange who will serve as Senior Vice President/Co-General Sales Manager and was formerly President of Lange Film Releasing, an Illinois-based company who worked with Berney on "Memento," "Y Tu Mama Tambien," "Whale Rider," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," and "The Passion of the Christ; and Crystal King, Vice President, Marketing Operations, who as a 22 year veteran in the motion picture industry, was previously Vice President of Exhibitor Relations at Miramax. Rounding out the team are Tom Hassell and Dan Lange as Vice Presidents of Distribution.
“This talented group of executives realize that exhibition is a great partner and have the relationships that will enable Picturehouse to reach the widest audience possible,” said Berney in a prepared statement.
