Bette Gordon Spotlight at NY's IFC Center

New York filmmaker Bette Gordon will be the focus of an evening at IFC Center in mid-April. On April 16 (along with other select cities), the Greenwich Village, NYC theater will screen her latest film, "Handsome Harry," which centers on Harry is forced out of self-imposed exile when he is summoned to the deathbed of Tom Kelly (Steve Buscemi), an old Navy pal with one last wish: he wants Harry (Jamey Sheridan) to seek out another old friend, Dave Kagan (Campbell Scott), and ask his forgiveness for some horrible wrong that Tom, Harry, and their other close friends committed when they were all still in the military. Gordon's "Variety" will screen April 15, while "Luminous Motion" will screen April 12. [Brian Brooks]
