For those who didn't get to catch Carrie Fisher's one woman stage show "Wishful Drinking," at Studio 54 in New York, don't fret. The autobiographical tale, based on her published memoir of the same name, is being produced as a feature-length documentary for HBO, with directors Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey attached. The film is scheduled to debut in December, and will combine scenes from the show (taped at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in NJ this past June) with interviews and archival footage.
Fisher meanwhile will continue to tour her solo show to select cities though the end of 2010 and into 2011.
