Sundance hit "Catfish," directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, has been acquired by Relativity Media and Rogue Pictures, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The companies acquired U.S., Canadian and U.K. distribution rights, according to HR. The paper added that director Brett Ratner has been added into the mix as an executive producer of the movie, with Relativity's Ryan Kavanaugh and Tucker Tooley. Rogue will handle the release later this year.

The film has a 'B+' grade on indieWIRE's criticWIRE, surveying films from the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
