A shortened, theatrical version of French filmmaker Olivier Assayas' three-part mini-series "Carlos," has been acquired for a theatrical release by IFC Films. It will have a full length airing on Sundance Channel next spring. The Studio Canal production, with Daniel Leconte, Jens Meuer and Sundance Channel, is described as the story of, "Carlos the Jackal who single handedly invented the word "terrorism" while masterminding a wave of terror attacks in Europe and the Middle East in the 70s and 80s."
