Cannes competition entry "My Joy" by Sergei Loznitsa has landed at Fortissimo Films. The international sales company will represent worldwide rights outside Germany, Russia and the CIS for Loznitsa's first feature next month at the Cannes festival. The film was described by Fortissimo today as, "A moving and impressive parable of the current conditions in Russia, [it] is the story of truck driver Georgi who loses his way in the wilderness of the Russian countryside and is in search of a way back to the civilization he knows."
"My Joy" is a ma.ja.de. production in co-production with Sota Cinema Group (UA), Lemming Film (NL) and ZDF in association with Arte.
