Zeitgeist Films has acquired all U.S. rights to Kevin Kline's latest "Queen to Play." Directed by first time director Caroline Bottaro, the film finds Kline playing opposite France's Sandrine Bonnaire in his first entirely French-speaking role. Set in Corsica, Bonnaire plays a working class wife and mother who discovers a passion for chess. Kline plays her American employer, whose house she cleans a few times a week.

“We are happy to give this lovely film with luminous performances from such an acclaimed cast a proper, albeit belated release in this market," Zeitgeist Co-President Emily Russo said.

"Queen to Play" had its U.S. premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. Zeitgeist plans for an early 2011 release for the film.

The film was at Tribeca but not this year. It was in 2009 and it was not a U.S. Premiere but actually a World Premiere cp-presented the same day at TRIBECA and at COLCOA, "A WEEK OF FRENCH FILM PREMIERES IN HOLLYWOOD"
