Austin Film Festival Names Award Winners

Marking the end of the Austin Film Festival, the festival has just announced the winners of its audience awards.  The Out of Competition Audience Award went to Jason Reitman’s “Up in the Air.”  The Comedy Vanguard Audience Award Winner is “Herpes Boy” by Nathaniel Atcheson.  The Narrative Feature Competition Audience Award Winner was “Happy Ending” by Atsuhiro Yamada.  Tim VandeSteeg’s “My Run” and Tisha Blood’s “Torey’s Distraction” are the co-winners of the Documentary Feature Competition Audience Award.  Short awards went to Kat Candler’s “Love Bug,” Liliana Greenfield-Sanders’s “Adelaide,” T.G. Herrington’s “Mr. Okra,” and Chris Perry’s “The Incident at Tower 37.”
