Stephen Daldry to Chair Berlin Today Jury

Stephen Daldry, the director of “The Reader,” “The Hours,” and “Billy Elliot,” will chair that will decide the best of five shorts commissioned by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg to portray Berlin as the filmmakers see it today in the Berlinale’s 2010 Berlin Today competition. This year’s winner, “Wagah” by Supriyo Sen, recently received awards in Germany and at the Middle Eastern International Film Festival in Dubai. [Bryce J Renninger]
