Michael Winterbottom’s Crazy/Sexy “Killer Inside Me” - featuring Jessica Alba Spanking Naughtiness

UPDATE:

I just got a letter from Wild Bunch for copyright infringement on the trailer (which I had embedded but not directly hosted.) Oops.

The trailer has been removed. Huffington Post has an interesting link as well on this film. JoeBlo also has it here (for the moment.)

This extended promo trailer (NSFW, a little spoilerish) for “The Killer Inside Me” is smoking up the web, most notorious for an aggressive spanking scene with Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba.

I read the Jim Thompson noir book about a small town sociopathic Sheriff several years ago, so the plot is a bit fuzzy, but this extended promo trailer seems to definitely catch the atmosphere of the film.

Twitter: Shit Precious’ Mom Says

It was bound to happen.

(Hat tip, Movieline.)

Twitter Feed “Shit My Dad Says” Gets Book and TV Deal

What I find most surprising about this piece is NOT that the hilarious twitter feed Shit My Dad Says is getting made into a TV show but that the writer Justin Halpern is a Maxim editor. I always imagined some white trash kid in a crappy suburban town.

Yet another illusion destroyed. Le sigh.

From the AV Club:

A month ago, 29-year-old Maxim.com editor Justin Halpern landed a book deal for his popular Twitter feed shitmydadsays, on which he dumps the irascible, profane mutterings of his 73-year-old father. Now CBS has signed a deal with Halpern to develop a sitcom based on the feed, with the help of Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick.

The Onion | Barack Obama Names Alan Moore Official White House Biographer

Oh wow. And I just completed Swamp Thing 21-64. Obama is right. Alan Moore is a genius.

If ONLY this were true.

At a press conference Monday, President Obama announced that he had appointed legendary comic book writer Alan Moore as the official biographer of his time in the White House. “As evidenced by his epic run on Swamp Thing #21–64, Moore’s deft hand with both sociopolitical commentary and metaphysical violence makes him an ideal choice to chronicle my time in office,” Obama said of the author of Watchmen and From Hell, whom he reportedly chose over others on a short list of potential biographers that included Warren Ellis, Grant Morrison, and Bob Woodward.

FX’s “The League” Starring Duplass Brother Mark Gets Thumbs Up

Mark Duplass is having a good year. Along with a feature in production with Fox Searchlight, he also is co-starring in FX’s new comedy, “The League.”

Variety calls it:

“A crude but consistently funny half-hour that appears to be a bull’s-eye with the channel’s male-skewing audience. Like TBS’ “My Boys.”

The topnotch ensemble includes Pete (Mark Duplass), who consistently wins the fantasy league crown while suffering through a quarrelsome marriage; Kevin (Stephen Rannazzisi), whose wife Jenny (Katie Aselton) secretly helps develop his team’s draft strategies; the sexually frustrated Ruxin (Nick Kroll), whose wife (“My Name Is Earl’s” Nadine Velazquez) is withholding sex after having a baby; and Andre (Paul Scheer), a plastic surgeon whom the other guys constantly abuse.

“The League” also features Mark’s wife (and co-star of “Puffy Chair”)  Katie Aselton. Awesome.
