Nolan to “Oversee” New Superman films?

Wow. Intriguing.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane ... it’s Warner Bros. asking Christopher Nolan to pretty please resurrect their Superman franchise and do something cool with it! According to Deadline Hollywood, Nolan has been asked to come in and sort of “mentor” the next Superman movie, and it won’t be a sequel to Superman Returns, but instead the beginning of a brand new franchise.

Read the whole deal here.

I think they should just do some sort of adaptation of Grant Morrison’s “All Star Superman” which does the best job of capturing the spirit and fun of Superman.

Where There’s a Will…

...there’s a way.

Hat tip, Luci.

Oooh La La! Super Sexy Serge Gainsbourg Trailer

This trailer for the new biopic about Serge Gainsbourg is without subtitles but you can still see it captures the sexiness of all things Serge. I love the scenes with Frances Gall. So cool. Eric Elmosnino’s resemblance to Gainsbourg is uncanny. Director Joann Sfar has a fascinating career as he is also a well known graphic novelist, writing and drawings works such as The Rabbi’s Cat and Little Vampire.

Hat tip, beatcrave.

Lar’s von Trier’s “Fantastic Mr. Fox”

Michael Winterbottom’s Crazy/Sexy “Killer Inside Me” - featuring Jessica Alba Spanking Naughtiness

UPDATE:

I just got a letter from Wild Bunch for copyright infringement on the trailer (which I had embedded but not directly hosted.) Oops.

The trailer has been removed. Huffington Post has an interesting link as well on this film. JoeBlo also has it here (for the moment.)

This extended promo trailer (NSFW, a little spoilerish) for “The Killer Inside Me” is smoking up the web, most notorious for an aggressive spanking scene with Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba.

I read the Jim Thompson noir book about a small town sociopathic Sheriff several years ago, so the plot is a bit fuzzy, but this extended promo trailer seems to definitely catch the atmosphere of the film.
