“In Treatment” Season 2 Gets Rave Reviews

HBO’s “In Treatment” Season 2 (which starts this Sunday) is getting some great write-ups:

Wall Street Journal

Byrne is brilliant and - for the most part - so is this fine and absorbing show. GRADE A

Season 2 of HBO’s In Treatment remains TV’s most satisfyingly cerebral drama simply by talking, over and over, about age-old woes: family, regret, sex, mortality.
Time:

Convincing, with an upgraded talent roster and a storyline that deftly builds upon what’s gone before.
Variety

A slew of independent filmmakers directed episodes including:

Ryan Fleck (“Half Nelson,” “Sugar”)
Terry George (“Hotel Rwanda”)
Josh Marston (“Maria Full of Grace”)
Jim McKay (“Our Song”)
Courtney Hunt (“Frozen River”)

I haven’t watched the show but going to definitely check it out. Jeff Israel, my brother and filmmaking collaborator has been working in post-production for Season 2. Nice work!

I think that the character development for the rotating cast is much better than
the previous season. Here’s to the show’s success.
