An Earth Day Flashback
Back in 1990 ABC hosted a star studded special for the 20th anniversary of Earth Day. As the special starred such celebrities as Chevy Chase, Danny Devito, Bugs Bunny, Downtown Julie Brown, Kristie Alley, Rodney Dangerfield, Robin Williams, Candice Bergen, and Kid N' Play among many others, I remember that the premiere was truly Must See TV. I think my parents and I actually ate dinner in front of the TV... a incredibly rare occurrence. Now, 19 years later the special feels as antiquated as something from the 50's; not because of the actors, but because of how we, as viewers, absorb information (and especially advertising) has changed so dramatically as of recent.
