R.I.P. Don Adams

When I was younger Get Smart used to be my favorite show on Nick at Nite (it took over after Mr. Ed was rotated out of the lineup) - which meant was it my favorite non-cartoon show on TV. When I was nine I even saved up money to buy a shoe phone from the WB catalogue. It wasn't portable, nor could my foot fit in it (believe me, I tried), but it sat by my bed for years until I finally realized that it was perhaps the most uncomfortable phone ever invented. Then it moved into my closet, where I believe it still resides.

I remember the day I realized that Don Adams was not only Agent 86, but also the voice of Inspector Gadget. Smelling a conspiracy, I began watching both shows in order to try to find connections between them, and boy did I find them... at least I think I did, I really can't remember anymore. All I know is that Adams brought out the bumbling detective/secret agent in me, and for that I will be ever grateful.
