The new gentrification

Saturday night, while walking on the club infused block on 10th avenue between 27th and 28th street, a girl (she couldn’t have been older than 21tops), leaning against the well in clothes too-tight and too-cold for this weather, gave me a "Hey Baby." Yeah, there is the slight (and by slight I mean non-existent) possibility that she saw was into me, but when a woman stands in one spot “hey every-boy-who-walk-by, there’s not much mystery to what she's doing. The street walkers haven’t been gentrified out, they’ve been gentrified in, using the influx of scantily dressed Jersey, LI and yes NY girls to hide their trade. It might look like Disneyland on 42nd street, but apparently Disney-fication not just limited to real estate.
