Park City, January 24th... London-based Revolver Entertainment has bought the rights to Sundance's Park City at Midnight entry DESTRICTED in the United Kingdom.  Produced by Neville Wakefield, Mel Agace and Andrew Hale, Co-Produced by Fredrik Carlstrom, and directed by such diverse artists and filmmakers as Marina Abramovic, Matthew Barney, Marco Brambilla, Larry Clark, Gaspar Noe, Richard Prince and Sam Taylor-Wood, the series of explicit shorts first screened here at the festival over the weekend.
 
The deal was brokered by Katapult Film Sales principal Thomas Mai, The Film Sales Company's President Andrew Herwitz and Manager of Film Sales Jared Moshe, and Nick Taussig and Justin Marciano for Revolver.  Katapult is handling worldwide sales on the title, with Herwitz looking after the U.S. and both companies sharing the United Kingdom.
 
Liberating screen sex from aesthetic and narrative tropes - not to mention taboo restrictions - DESTRICTED is a spicy compilation of shorts by celebrated visual artists who are invigorating erotic film.  As the first in a continuing series, the seven films presented explore the fine line where art and pornography intersect.
 
Experts in exploiting niche markets, Revolver was recently listed as one of the largest home entertainment publishers in the United Kingdom, frequently dominating the special interest charts. Revolver plans on releasing DESTRICTED in at least eight theaters throughout the United Kingdom.
 
The Film Sales Company is located in New York and specializes in raising financing and selling feature narrative films and feature documentaries. Additional recent titles  include "Imagine Me and You" for Fox Searchlight, Oscar-winner "Born Into Brothels" and Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11."  Herwitz is currently in negotiation with several companies for the U.S. rights to DESTRICTED.
 
Since its inception, Katapult Film Sales has rapidly developed a profile for representing a unique slate of independent films by some of the most intriguing filmmakers from around the world.  Los Angeles-based Katapult is a partnership between Thomas Mai and producer Joni Sighvatsson.  The company is currently looking after worldwide sales on Baltasar Kormakur's "A Little Trip To Heaven," starring Julia Stiles and Forest Whitaker, which also screens in the Premiere section of the festival this Thursday.
