I previously mentioned that I would speaking at the Brazilian Film Festival of Miami on a panel about marketing and distributing brazilian films in the US - or more precisely I plugged the experience on the random chance I had a reader in Miami who would attend (I don't). Well that happened Tuesday, and all in all the the festival was a pleasant suprise. While I expected a fun regional festival showcasing films that audiences would otherwise never get a chance to see, what I found was an entire world of Brazilian film transplanted into Miami. TV stars, directors, producers... groupies even, all their networking, relaxing and celebrating films. Although I didn't get the chance to see many films, what I did see were well done, stylish and entertaining (also, I was introduced to Brahma, which was available for breakfast, lunch and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed by all) I would tell my reader in the greater Miami metro area to attend, but as already established he/she doesn't exist.
