Gen Art and Brazil

Tonight I plan on attending the Gen Art Ignite event/party/shindig. You can see my defense of the gen art film festival here (It's also my first real entry ever - not that anyone probably cares). Well I think the same holds true to most of their events, despite the occasionally changing crowd (though the cancelling of the Hustle & Flow screening, but not the party might be pushing things a bit too far).

Also, on the nightlife front tomorrow and saturday the New York Brazilian Film Festival will be screening two movies at summer stage followed by a week of screenings at the Tribeca Screening Room. If you remember (and I know you don't, because to remember you would a. have to be a regular reader, which I have none or b. have to care, which even if you happened to - on the odd chance - stumble onto both that entry and this one, you would probably have expelled all memory of doing so and replace it with something important like the amount lint collecting under your desk) I was down at the Miami Brazilian Film Festival a few weeks ago. The movies will be good and the events will be flowing with a great brazilian beer called Brahma so I recomend stopping by.
