Before everyone disappears to celebrate/mourn the end of summer, here's a friendly reminder of what labor day is really all about (from the US Department of Labor no less):
"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."
So this Monday, take minute from the BBQ's and beaches to think about the hard working men and women who too often get forgotten in our culture of business idolatry.
