As I do every year, I am going to point out the return of the slate movie club in which a group of critics discuss the year in movies. This year's all ladies version includes:
"Jeannette Catsoulis writes about film for the New York Times, Reverse Shot, and Las Vegas CityLife. Dana Stevens is Slate's movie critic. Lisa Schwarzbaum is a movie critic at Entertainment Weekly. Jessica Winter is the film critic and senior editor at O, the Oprah Magazine. Stephanie Zacharek is a senior writer and film critic for Salon. "
It's always a fun way to relive the year in movies, and I think offers more insight than your typical top ten list. A top ten list is reductive. A discussion like the movie club allows critics to highlight what they loved about movies without regarding to the whole, and therefore becomes much more personal.
