the non-denial
Everyone's been discussing Sunday's NY Times article on the Sundance selection process, and yet I hear very few people mentioning the piece's deftest moment of political speak. Regarding a certain rumor:
"I don't discourage people from thinking that … But Geoff keeps his own counsel. He will tell me if he likes a film, but not whether it's in the festival."
Whether the rumor is true or not (and I make no claims one way or the other), I know a non-denial when I see one.
