1) It's always amazing to see colleagues, especially those who you've worked with before, win Oscars. So a hearty congrats to Iain Canning (and the whole King's Speech team) on winning his Oscar. Iain was an early advocate for Kurt Cobain About a Son and brokered many of our international sales on film.

2) The Academy should try to choose hosts who actually have experience being live on stage. Otherwise you end up with folks trying too hard or looking too relaxed.

3) 127 Hours should have won Sound Editing. The arm cutting scene is visually tame compared to the nerve wrenching audio track that masterfully captures an incredibly horrific and painful act through sound.

James Franco didn’t really seem too fazed by the Oscars hoopla. The host took in all in stride, and was very relaxed opposite hyper host Anne Hathaway during last night’s live broadcast of the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.

So what was his reaction to his co-hosting gig?
