When it comes to the knotty process of completing and distributing movies, I'm no hardened veteran. But while all I know is that I know nothing, I do know a lot people who know plenty. So when the editors over at New York Press asked me to contribute some advice for budding filmmakers in their latest issue, I turned to a few experts from the local community. The result is a trim -- but hopefully informative or at least vaguely provocative -- take on some of the key strategies filmmakers should consider before taking the big plunge into their first feature. Use them wisely or ignore them all, but if you're someone in need of some advice, just know that it's here for you.
