The trailer embedded above has been playing before movies at the Tribeca Film Festival this year with one difference. Rather than plugging Tribeca Virtual, the new addition that brings several movies from the program to online viewers, it ends with a tagline that seems to put down the entire idea of video-on-demand film festivals. I'm paraphrasing here: "Thanks for coming to us...because coming to you would be a nightmare." Funny, arriving on the heels of that clip, but doesn't the assertion also come across as an enigmatic (or at least accidental) confession about the entire day-and-date brouhaha? Honesty is an admirable trait, but I think the culprit here might be unintentionally negative self-reflection instead. Your thoughts?
