Now that we’ve all had our close encounter with the Dark Knight, allow me to wax nostalgic about one of my all-time happiest moviegoing experiences. Following the huge success of ABC’s campy 'Batman' TV series, Columbia Pictures reissued the original 15-chapter 'Batman' serial from 1943 to theaters.
