I, like so many others, have been appalled by the recent laws proposed about filming in New York City. Being three weeks away from shooting my first major New York City production (more details in two blog posts), you can imagine that it's stressing me out a lot these days. But it's not just about me. It's about everyone who ever wanted to film in New York and isn't backed by a major studio. The rules are just absurd and, quite frankly, disgusting.
I was very pleased to see that my good friends in New York based sketch comedy troupe Olde English made this short rap video to promote speaking out against the laws. You should watch it if you want a good laugh.
And, remember, you don't have to live in New York City to care and speak out.
