All you people better start giving Golden Door and 12:08 East of Bucharest the consideration they deserve. No, seriously, guys, these movies are the real deal. Universally loved by critics and industry at their premiere festivals, they seemed to have dropped off the map in release. Easily two of the best movies of the year. And it's not like they are not that accessible. Okay, so Golden Door is a little less accessible, but they are both absolutely brilliant.
I'm not going to choose critics and give you links for who loves the films. Look up the reviews for these films written by whoever you trust. I'm sure they loved them. Everyone does.
So if you live in New York or LA, there is no excuse. Run, don't walk. Put down whatever you are doing. Go now. If you've been already, you know what I'm talking about - go again!
Sorry this post isn't more insightful. I have nothing to tell you that the movies can't. Just go.
