You know, I thought it was weird when Live with Regis and Kelly featured a musical performance by Brit-rockers Kaiser Chiefs a few weeks ago... but this is definitely bizarre. Psych-garage rock band The Dandy Warhols, known to many film fans as one-half of last year's documentary DIG!, will make an appearance on the morning chatfest September 13.
The band will be in the midst of a tour promoting their upcoming album, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars (which drops the same day). In a recent Rolling Stone interview, frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor offered his perspective on spending his early hours with the TV duo:
So what does Taylor-Taylor think of hanging with the house-mom-loving morning show titans? "Well, we're going to be so jetlagged from being in Europe, we just went, 'Fuck it! It's popular culture! We're the Dandy Warhols! We have to!'"
