TIFF 2005.4: U2? Not Me Too.

It seems like one of the biggest things people are talking about at parties this year is the fact that U2 is in Toronto this week. And, it looks like everyone is seeing Bono and hanging out with him, except me. Kate Hudson charity benefit? He's there. Screening and party of the Leonard Cohen doc? There too. The bar of the Drake Hotel? Ditto. The sold-out show at the downtown arena? Oh yeah, of course.

I keep getting stories from festival people who are like "Oh, I was drinking with Bono last night"... not realizing I would sell my firstborn to have the same anecdote. I happened to be at the Drake Hotel last night while Bloc Party was hanging out... and in walks a band that played the downtown area that night... U2's opening act, Dashboard Confessional. Great. Thanks.

That would have been a dream come true for you, Dentler. And I would have loved to hear the story. Keep your eye out.
