I've always had a very soft spot in my heart for the Cinematexas International Short Film Festival, which is the film festival of the University of Texas. It was my first festival gig, and led me on the path I'm on today. As we speak, the short-savvy organizers (led by the fearless Ralph McKay) are in the middle of getting things moving for the 10th annual event.
