Fantastic Fest 2005.2

The second day of Fantastic Fest was highlighted by a panel presentation of Disney's upcoming Chronicles of Narnia film. Howard Berger, of KNB FX, hosted the presentation where he previewed scenes from the film as well as some of the special effects work. In fact, Disney outfitted the lobby of the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar with exhibits of props, video, and costumes. Here's what it looked like:

Or, you can see Jette Kernion's recap of the panel and the Fantastic Fest U.S. Premiere of Werner Herzog's Wild Blue Yonder, over at Cinematical.

Later in the day, the Fest included screenings of Project Greenlight's Feast. The film is a total bloodbath... "Warm blood and cold beer" as director John Gulager described it beforehand. No word yet on when Dimension Films plans to release the movie, but it looks like January. Meanwhile, the other big audience favorite Friday night was German zombie comedy, Night of the Living Dorks.
